DERRICK HODGE AND JAIMEO BROWN: JAZZ CAFE DOUBLE-BILL
Tuesday 8 July | LONDON Jazz Cafe
The Jaimeo Brown will be appearing as part of a stunning double-bill with Derrick Hodge in July at the Jazz Cafe.
The word is out on Jaimeo, whose debut album Transcendence on Motema connects 21st century jazz attitude with a profound sense of history, where fractured blues and rock meets the sampled sounds of spirituals from the deep south, Jaimeo Brown and his heavyweight band deliver an ‘alchemic mix of the primitive and the modern, that’s woven into something new and beguiling’ (Jazzwise).
Following a storming appearance at last year’s EFG London Jazz Festival, this is an opportunity to see two distinct, rising talents on the same night.
